Good thing about destroyers is also that you're so low in BR, that you will encounter coastal vessels regularly, which can be very easy to destroy. In bluewater I do ok-ish mostly with US and German DD's, less so in heavier stuff, LC and upward. Hm, I'm more successful generally in coastal than in bluewater ops, and there mostly with the Germans (and their slow but powerfull floats.). Can anyone give me some advice? But there has to be a way to play other than spawning in sailing strait out to the enemy and spamming bullets. I looked for some tutorials, but none were really helpful. Islands offer only limited cover, and sometimes there are no Islands at all. I want to know how to kill other ships without dying myself. I have tried engaging from range, but I don't really see much of a difference. How do I survive in a DD or cruiser? Do I just sit in the middle of the water spamming shells until I die? That's what I have been doing a lot, but definatly looks like an amateur playstyle. Some times I do good and some times I don't. TBH I don't really know what I am doing. When I played before, I had used most of the reserve DDs, and got mixed results. So I have not really played much naval in a long time, and when I used too it was mostly coastal fleet.
